It is time once again for the Billings Engineers Club (BEC) Annual Awards Banquet, to which you are cordially invited.
This is our 47th year and we’ve planned a very special evening. The banquet will be held on March 2nd, 2012 at the Billings Crowne Plaza. Cocktails will begin at 6:00 pm with dinner at 7:00 pm, and awards immediately to follow. The cost per person is $40.00.
Please complete your online registration no later than February 24th, 2012. Payment can be submitted to Rod Bach at Electrical Consultants Inc., 3521 Gabel Road, Billings, MT 59102. We will not be printing tickets this year, and we will instead maintain a list of reservations. Payments are requested in advance. We have experienced a large turnout of scholarship applicants with impeccable qualifications. Last year we gave ten scholarships out of an ever increasing pool of applicants. Therefore, donations to the BEC scholarship fund or helping to pay for scholarship recipients’ banquet meal tickets would be greatly appreciated.
IEEE will be paying for one meal ticket for each of its members. The BEC will also pay for one meal ticket for each person that passed the Professional Engineering Examination in the last year.
The BEC appreciates corporate sponsorship of new Professional Engineers. Please indicate membership in IEEE or “New PE Status” when you register. Proper registration will help verify your payment as well as BEC’s and IEEE’s responsibility with the number of people attending. If you are aware of an individual who received their Professional Engineer’s license in 2011, please contact Grant Gershmel at grant.gershmel@hdrinc.com with their name and contact information so they can be properly recognized at the banquet.
As always, even if you are unable to attend, you may donate to the scholarship fund or donate a meal ticket to our scholarship recipients. If anyone would like to host a scholarship winner and their family during the banquet please contact Chuck Strum at scholarships@billingsengineersclub.org. The recent years have shown that when an engineer hosts a scholarship winner it has helped them to the feel more involved with the evening’s events versus if they were to just sit at their own table and only be acknowledged when they stand up and receive their scholarship.
The scholarship(s) and door prizes will be given away during the banquet. If you have any items that you would like to donate as door prizes, please contact for Shoots Veis to have them picked up. Thank you and we hope to see you on Friday, March 2nd, 2012.
